Tim Genster
Growing up in a town of a mere 1,000 people, Tim Genster, was a wise-cracking, Class Clown, type of character. Quick with the wit and quicker with line that beat others to the punch, he kept friends and a few not-so-friendly, on their toes.
He seems to have an endless supply of 'compliments' and more likely, a non-complimentary greeting for most everyone. Despite his often 'non-serious' antics, he had aspirations that far exceeded the village of Sheffield, IL where he grew up. As he recalls, "it was simple," I just wanted to see the world."
Even in High School, beyond his duties to make classmates laugh whenever possible, he showed a knack for 'promotion', first as a photographer, and later as a promoter, making signs announcing the latest band to appear at his high school, 'after the football or basketball games.'
